At my week 30 a problem with the placenta was detected and the baby was no longer growing as expected.

I felt devastated but at the same time trying to be stronger than ever, emotionally and physically, because it was very likely that the birth would come early and I wanted to be ready for our baby.

I started with checkups every 2 days and later every day and Diego was born on June 25th with 32+5 weeks.

The beginning was difficult because we were afraid of complications but fortunately our little one was always healthy and we waited 5 weeks at the HMC hospital for him to gain weight.

The medical team was the best we could have had. Always supporting us and giving us the best advice for Diego’s care.

We will always remember the days in the hospital and especially the achievements that our brave little boy accomplished to reach his discharge.
